STRATEGIC PLANNING AT CHAMPLAIN REGIONAL COLLEGE…
This section of our webpage includes documents related to planning at Champlain Regional College, in particular the College Strategic Action Plan 2015-2020 (CSAP), and the Annual Operational Plan (AOP).
The College Strategic Action Plan (CSAP) forms the foundation for the College’s Annual Operational Plans (AOP) that include all of the strategic and operational imperatives and initiatives for a given academic year.
The nature of Champlain Regional College with its three campuses, each with distinctive cultures and traditions in three very different regions with varied needs and expectations, creates a unique challenge when developing a College-wide strategic plan. Yet, it is this diversity that gives Champlain rich opportunities to build relationships that span the physical boundaries and open possibilities for synergy and continuous improvement.
In this context, the development of this plan would not have been possible without the commitment and collaboration of our campus and service teams. Therefore, we wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the numerous consultations that contributed to the development of the Plan, ensuring that we focus on our students’ success and responds to the needs of our students, faculty, staff, management, and communities.
On behalf of the Board of Governors, we wish to express our sincere appreciation. However, the work has only just begun, and we are counting on everyone’s support to ensure that the outcomes and ideas contained in the CSAP become a reality.

THE COLLEGE USES THE FOLLOWING GUIDING PRINCIPLES FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING
The College Strategic Plan must…
* Be rooted in the College’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
* Focus on student success and continuous improvement.
* Set high expectations and encourage innovation.
* Be rooted in relationships and synergy.
* Articulate our global priorities and desired outcomes, map out strategic actions, and identify our global success indicators.
* Be a “Living Document” that guides our actions and practice, while allowing for adjustments as circumstances change.
As you will see, the CSAP is truly a “Living Document” as we have continued to make annual adjustments to ensure that it is meeting the needs of our students, faculty, staff, management, and communities.
The College invites everyone to become familiar with our plans for ensuring our students have every opportunity to succeed.
